Description
KIPON Leica S-GFX AF allows you to use the Leica S medium format (45*30mm) lens on the Fujifilm GFX medium format (44*33mm) camera, and realizes autofocus function. The adapter is compatible with a wide range of Leica S-series lenses, including zoom lenses.
Leica S-GFX AF is equipped with the new generation MCU (Microcontroller Unit) which delivers accurate autofocus with stable performance. Taking into consideration that Leica S lenses are equipped with traditional motors, we optimized the software algorithm during the development to ensure the lens can focus as fast as possible, maximized the usability.
Leica S-GFX AF supports Eye-AF, EXIF information transmisssion, PDAF, etc. The adapter comes with a Type-C port for firmware update. We will supply firmware upgrade if necessary.
Please make sure to focus on a distant object to activate the lens first, and then take the shot. This is because the motors of S lenses are relatively old and the software cannot drive them to quickly focus on nearby objects.

* The current version of L/S-GFX AF does not support lenses with CS (Central Shutter), we will continuously upgrade the firmware to optimize and solve this issue and make it compatible with a wider range of lenses. We welcome you to provide feedback on the lens information and usage experience.

Firmware upgrade :
1) Prepare a PC computer and a standard USB Type-C data cable.
2) Download the corresponding product’s firmware upgrade file from the official website to the prepared computer. If it is a compressed file, decompress it after downloading. The file name is: LeicaS_GFX VXX.DAT. Note that XX represents the version number. For example, the firmware name LeicaS_GFX V10.DAT represents firmware version 1.0.
3) Connect the adapter (without attaching the camera and lens) to the computer. At this point, a “KIPON” removable disk will be recognized by the computer. Then copy the decompressed LeicaS_GFX VXX.DAT upgrade firmware to the recognized removable disk. The upgrade firmware will be automatically upgraded, which takes approximately 10 seconds. After the upgrade is completed, the computer will automatically clear the previously copied upgrade firmware and restart the “KIPON” removable disk, indicating a successful upgrade and completion.
4) pls go to Leica website to upgrade the Leica S lenses in your hand , must combine with Leica S007 or S3 camera together to do upgrade.
